About the event
The Bowen Island Jazz Combo unites talented jazz musicians to play for Bowen Island. Each performance brings a different arrangement of local musicians, blending all of their unique styles with a classic repertoire of swing, hard bop, and everything in between.
Kit Cola is a rising jazz trumpet player in Vancouver. Raised on Bowen Island, they started the Bowen Island Jazz Combo with a vision of bringing the vast musical talent of Bowen Island into our everyday culture. Working with local venues, associations, and artists to create opportunities for live performance and preserve the practice of music and musical improvisation throughout the island.
